Nickel Hydrogenation Composite Catalysts Modified by Zirconium in Competitive Benzene Hydrogenation: Effect of Modifiers
A co-impregnation method was applied to the Ni/Zr-HMS/HZSM-5 catalyst (with various amounts of zirconium) during the hydrogenation of benzene. The physicochemical properties of the prepared nickel catalyst were characterized using X - ray diffraction, X - ray fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, temperature-programmed desor...
متن کاملDetermination of the Deactivation Model of Iron-potassium/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst in a Fixed Bed Reactor
Catalyst activity and performance are the most important factors for selecting a catalyst in different processes. The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is a very important synthesis that extensive action has been taken place to increase the activity of its catalysts in the recent century. Deactivation of the catalysts of the process is influenced by many factors, among which coking and sintering have c...
متن کاملImine hydrogenation by alkylaluminum catalysts.
Di-isobutylaluminum hydride and tri-iso-butylaluminum (DIBAL 1, TIBAL 2) are shown to be efficient hydrogenation catalysts for a variety of imines at 100 °C and 100 atm of H2, operating via a hydroalumination/hydrogenolysis mechanism.
متن کاملEffect of Nickel Particle Size on Alumina Supported Nickel Catalysts for p-Nitrophenol Hydrogenation
The catalytic hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol to p-aminophenol was investigated over alumina supported nickel catalysts prepared by impregnation reduction method and mechanical mixing method. The catalysts were characterized by XRD and FESEM. The results show that the nickel particle diameter of alumina supported nickel prepared by impregnation reduction method (denoted as Ni/Al2O3) is slightly ...
متن کاملContinuous synthesis of methanol: heterogeneous hydrogenation of ethylene carbonate over Cu/HMS catalysts in a fixed bed reactor system.
Continuous fixed-bed catalytic hydrogenation of ethylene carbonate (EC) to methanol and ethylene glycol (EG), an emerging synthetic process of methanol via indirect conversion of CO2, was successfully performed over Cu/HMS catalysts prepared by the ammonia evaporation (AE) method. The catalysts possessed superb performance with a conversion of 100% and a selectivity to methanol of 74%.
